Add page numbers to your PDF
Number the pages of a PDF in seconds. Choose where the number sits (bottom or top; left,
centre or right), the format (just 1, 1 / 10, or Page 1) and the start number.
A preview of the first page shows the placement before you download. Everything runs in
your browser — no upload.
Formats and placement
- Number only —
1,2,3… - Number of total —
1 / 10, ideal for printed handouts. - Page N — a labelled style.
Pick any of the six positions (three alignments × top/bottom) and a custom start number for documents that continue from a previous part.
Can I number several PDFs at once?
Yes. Drop in several files and they all get the same settings; the result comes back as a ZIP. One thing to know: the start number applies per document, not continuously across the batch — every file starts again at your chosen number. The preview shows the first page of the first file.
Clean and lossless
The page number is drawn on top of each page with a standard font; the rest of your content is untouched and nothing is recompressed.
Private by default
Numbers are added locally with an open-source library (pdf-lib). Your PDF never leaves your device — it works offline, too.
