How do I get a clip under Discord's 10 MB?

Use the bitrate formula: 10,000,000 bytes × 8 ÷ seconds. At 30 seconds that leaves about 2.7 Mbit/s, at 60 seconds only 1.3 Mbit/s. For 720p the first number is comfortable and the second borderline; for 1080p neither really works. Short highlights are fine, whole rounds are not.

Why does my gameplay clip look blocky?

Because fast motion is the hardest case for any encoder: every frame differs strongly from the one before, so there is little to reuse. At a fixed size budget a hectic scene therefore looks worse than a calm conversation. Lowering the resolution helps more than anything else here — 720p with enough bits beats 1080p without.

Honest limits

There is no trick around the limit: compress, trim, or upload elsewhere and post the link. The tool measures the finished file and tells you when the 10 MB were missed — it does not claim something the upload then disproves.
